PRIVACY

How we handle your information.

Plain-language summary of what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.

What we collect

When you contact us through this website, we collect the details you choose to share: your name, email address, company or fund, and anything you tell us about what you're building or the role you're exploring. For candidates, this may also include your LinkedIn profile and location.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to assess and represent candidates for roles, and to deliver our search, advisory and performance work. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with third parties except where it's needed to deliver the work you've asked for — for example, presenting a candidate to a client with their knowledge.

How it's stored

Enquiry details are stored securely in our systems, with access limited to the Capitano team. We keep personal information only for as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law.

AI-assisted tools

We use AI-assisted tools, including our intelligence layer Sonar, to surface patterns and insights in our work. These tools inform our judgement; they do not make decisions about you.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, contact us and we'll respond promptly.
